Mark E. Wasikowski, Ph.D.
Adjunct Lecturer

Education: Ph.D. Georgia Institute of Technology, 1990 ~ M.S.A.E. Georgia Institute of Technology, 1986 ~ B.S.A.A.E. Purdue University, 1985

Areas of Expertise: Dynamics and Vibration, Aeroelasticity, Structural and Multi-Body Dynamics, Flight Mechanics, Helicopters and Rotorcraft

Background: Dr. Wasikowski has extensive industrial experience in the design, engineering development, flight test and certification of commercial and military helicopters and rotorcraft systems, particularly in the dynamics and aeroelasticity area, currently working at Bell Helicopter. Dr. Wasikowski also has government experience, working in aircraft development for the US Army and NASA, participating in the development and qualification of the AH-64 Apache and UH-60 helicopters. While at Bell, he is developing new analysis methods for aeroelastic stability using multi-body dynamics and computational fluid mechanics (CFD). He has been on the faculty of UT Arlington since 2006. Research interests include structural and multi-body dynamics, aeroelastic stability, as well as computational aeroelasticity.
