Areas of Expertise: Fluid Mechanics, Thermal Engineering, Automation Design.
Background: Immediately upon graduation in 1997, Dr. Amaya assumed an engineering position in industry, designing and building automation and providing technical support of metal cutting and assembly processes and machinery. He returned to his academic roots at UTA in 2007 as an Adjunct Lecturer and more recently has assumed duties as a Research Associate in the MAE Department’s Microscale Heat Transfer Laboratory. At this lab he is involved in basic and applied research in heat transfer enhancement.
